Recommended dog parks and/or groomers? Hey all, now that it's cooling down sporadically I was hoping I could solicit suggestions for dog parks in the greater Birmingham...

I don't think this is helpful to OP, but I've been to Camp Scotty on 31 in Pelham twice for their DIY wash stations and was very happy. $10 gets you access to a wash basin, shampoo, dryers, towels, and even doggie cologne if you want it. They do offer full service grooming(/boarding?) options, but I haven't used them yet.

For north end, there’s a dog park in Fultondale. There’s also one in Alabaster, but will be a bit of a drive.

My wife and I use the groomer at Caldwell Mill Animal Clinic for our Terriers. Our main reasoning for that is that if anything goes wrong, there is a vet on site. They've always done a good job with the haircuts and we have never had any issues with dog injuries.

we love Loch Haven dog park! There’s a nice creek for them to swim in and then multiple closed off parks for them to run around with their own size. There’s also a HUGE field that we usually go to for fetch with our Border Collie For grooming we just recently tried Baths Barks & Bubbles and they were fairly priced, but they don’t make “appointments”. You just tell them what day you want to go in and then from there it’s first come first serve. We brought our two dogs in around 11 a and didn’t get a call to pick them up until almost 6 p.. they looked GREAT but I felt awful knowing they were there that long

Hoover dog park (Loch Haven) is hit or miss, I will only go during the week when there are less people. But it is nice when everyone is behaving and owners are paying attention.
Red mountain park has Remy’s dog park, lots of space and there’s never been too many people when I’ve been there.
There’s Cahaba Beach dog park on 280. This is a paid membership park, it’s massive and well kept, and you have to pass a temperament test to have access. They also do grooming, boarding, etc but I’ve never used those services. Theres a little pool, and a walking trail/wooded area. If you want to pay this is my recommendation.
Alabaster has a little dog park at Veterans park on 119. It’s tiny and people bring their kids to play in the splash pad. If you’re just making the drive for the dog park I don’t think it’s worth it.
I think there’s also a dog park on Greensprings somewhere, but I’ve never been.
I don’t have grooming help, but there are self wash stations in pet supplies plus stores you can use for $10, I use the one in Pelham and it’s always clean.

Red Mountain Park has a huge dog park. I take my dog there all the time, and she loves it.
