Jodieotte.com she has some images she took of her own studio as well as our home and has an amazing talent of really showing the details of whatever she photographs. She is fully equipped and a full time photographer. Highly recommended.

Office decorators Hi guys,
My nonprofit just opened an office in DC. The office is all set up, except it lacks color, plant life, decorations -- basically, anything...
nnagflar replied:
My office's decorator went with white walls, fluorescent lights, and metal desks. I think they skipped plants because what's a window?

The principals (Jessica and Kiera) at Residents Understood are great. I believe that they have mainly focused on residential to date, but are very talented. http://residentsunderstood.com/

I use [Henricksen](http://www.henricksen.com/) for my workplace - they're not local, though. Much of the local installation is done by [Cort](http://www.cort.com/).
How can I support local artist? Recently, I have begun to really appreciate art. I just bought a print of Edvard Munch's *The Yellow Log* from a popular art website....

Have you looked at the workhouse in Lorton or the torpedo factory in Alexandria? I know local artists who have sold things through both, but don’t know details. Workhouse: https://www.workhousearts.org/ Torpedo Factory: http://torpedofactory.org/

DC has an outdoor, socially distanced Christmas market with lots of local artists selling their wares. Lots of beautiful and unique things. They have temperature check at the entrances and require masks. Tents are arranged to allow for socially distanced traffic flow and alot of tents are arranged one way inside of them. Several tents had plexiglass or barriers so you can see the items without getting to close. Very well done and I highly recommend it.

There are a number of artists at Eastern Market. I just bought a signed print by Ray Hart in November. In the past we've bought an original by Rosemary Gallick, and prints by Joel Traylor, Dan Kessler, and one other whose signature is illegible (and I can't find them on the Eastern Market website). We also bought a bowl by Lore Potoker at the Robinson HS Christmas market a couple of years ago. Edit: The Rosemary Gallick painting was not bought at the Eastern Market.

I’d love to be able to commission paintings by local artists. I’m amazed that in this day and age (of Covid, no less) that it’s virtually impossible for me to find a site like CL but dedicated to local artists with links to portfolios so that I can see the styles that interest me. Or, just go on such a site and see original works for sale. I’d love original art my wall without paying hundreds of dollars for a 20” painting or having to pay a bunch for packing and shipping.

You can sort Etsy shops by location. How to search for items from local sellers: After you search for something, click Custom under Shop location. Type in your city, town, state, or country and select your location from the dropdown. Your search results will refresh and only show you items from shops in the location you chose.
