Not sure about cost. But you should check out the Worthington Inn. (http://worthingtoninn.com/) It's a historic building that is supposedly haunted. Also has a great restaurant and is in the middle of a pretty cool area in Columbus. Lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. Edit: just checked the website. I'm not sure they operate as an "inn" anymore. I don't see any way to book a room. Might be worth a phone call though.

Another thought I had would be to try Airbnb. I know there are some decently priced cool places. (Code for $20 off www.airbnb.com/c/jlapp3?s=8).

Not sure it would count as "interesting", but my husband and I love the [Drury Hotel](https://www.druryhotels.com/PropertyHotelServices.aspx?property=0129) in Grove Port. The rooms are really nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and best of all is the food! They serve a "Kick-back" at 5:30, which is covers dinner for us (includes an alcoholic drink voucher for each registered adult) and really one of the best hotel breakfast buffets we've ever had.

The Lofts Hotel near the convention center was converted from an old warehouse building. I've heard good things about the residents inn. If its an off night you may be able to snag a deal at The Joseph (Le Meridian) or Hilton which are both really really awesome.

[The Koolwink Motel](http://www.koolwinkmotel.com/) This is in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, but it's kinda on the route from DC. It looks like it was frozen in time in 1962, but is impeccably clean and well-maintained. Shouldn't be too far out of your way, but I don't think the timing will be right... Harrison House B&B in Harrison West is definitely interesting. It's also close to the fun neighborhoods in Columbus!

Try the Capital Motel on East Main Street. It's got a really oldschool motel vibe.

I lived down the street from this place and always wanted to go in and check it out. Really cool looking property in the heart of the short north. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g50226-d80795-Reviews-50_Lincoln_Short_North_Bed_and_Breakfast-Columbus_Ohio.html
Need assistance. My accommodations were cancelled. Any D.C. Peeps that can direct me to a motel on a subway line that will get me near the starting point?

Kelley Hangos-Carrano, you can check out the following link, has some freebies. But like many things in life, "buyer beware", even if one isn't actually buying. First link is to marchmatch.org. http://marchmatch.org/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/InagurationWeekend/
We are looking to do the New River Trail in Virginia. Does anyone have a website complete with lodging? Is there a B&B or motel near Foster Falls or Lone Ash?

There are some hotel's/motel's in Hillsville/Galax Va which is exit 14 off of I-77. Foster falls is exit 24 I think, can't remember if there is any lodging in that 10 mile section or not.

http://www.newriverlodging.com/ This is north of Lone Ash but don't know anything about other than it is right off the trail. Rode by it my last time there but had no idea it was lodging at the time.

Jason Hammill thanks for the suggestion, but looking for a place 1/2 the way between Pulaski and Galax. The web site is not very bicyclist / hiker friendly, mostly set up for the car day tripper and not a bicycle or hike tourist with less miles per day.
We will need to organize lodging. I am thinking that Flipkey and other options to standard hotel/motel are needed. Plus can we get Uber etc to consider having their...
I'm in Centennial and it sounds like everything is booked up. Flights are cheap but will I find a place to stay? I don't know anyone in the area so I'd probably need a...

I'm a Colorado native, living in PA. :-( Please look at flights into Baltimore and Philadelphia (less than 3 hr drive to D.C. from Philly). There are local trains (SEPTA) that go from Philly's airport, to 30 th St Amtrak station in Philly. From there, you can take Amtrak into D.C.. Takes about 2 hrs. It also stops in Baltimore along the way. Look there for hotels, or hop Amtrak back to Philly. Should be a lot of rooms there. Also, the D.C. Metro subway runs to a lot of the suburbs in MD and VA. Look at the Metro map and search places to stay along the red line. Bethesda, Shady Grove, etc. http://www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm
Does anyone have any insight on rooms? I was looking for an affordable hotel, motel, whatevs fairly close but I am not familiar with the DC area.... I had found a few...
