There certainly are a lot of us catering out there! Always interesting to see so many restaurants come to top of mind. I'll throw my hat in the ring too, since we specialize in making food for all, carnivores/vegan/gluten free, etc. Check out www.littlemushroomcatering.ca

https://www.neverenoughthyme.ca/ they have been catering our working dinners during tax season - pheonomenal!
Breadbaron Sandwiches do catering. I remember organizing Gusto Catering for a 3 course meal that they dropped off and came back to pick up and it was a pleasure to deal with logistically (and it tasted nice as well). I'd recommend Mama and Papas Catering (Public Kitchen and Bar) but they might have limits for number of people.

Hi All! This is my first post in this group. Looking for recommendations for caterers for our 2016 wedding (50-65 people). We are looking for something a little...
Elaine K. replied:
I highly recommend http://gustocatering.ca/. They did our wedding and did a great job. Totally customized our menu (cocktail-style meal, not sit down), price was great. I believe they had a BBQ option, but we got married in Nov so not really an issue. They were extremely flexible and Dominic was wonderful to deal with.

I had Wildcraft Wherever for my wedding last year and didn't do a seated meal but had a bunch of passed hors d'oeuvres and food stations. They will do lots of customization as well to cater to what you want.:)
All the suggestions above are awesome - depending on size of the event - a few more options would be: Gilt (http://www.giltrestaurant.ca/catering) / Gusto Catering (https://gustocatering.ca/) / Walper Hotel, Abe + Erb, Taco Farm and White Rabbit also all do off-site catering
Here's a question you likely get a lot: best wedding caterers in the area? Jennifer Collins and I are in the process of researching for our May wedding. Thanks!
You'd have to inquire with them, but here's the catering list put together a little while back: https://www.facebook.com/download/1153136458037067/Catering%20 in%20Waterloo%20Region.xls

I am the contact for Wildcraft Wherever Catering Nicole. I'd be happy to quote you if I wasn't already booked with 2 large events:) (September is the absolute height of wedding and event season). I will let you know that typically once travel for all staff members etc is factored in, it becomes fairly pricey to hire an out-of-town caterer though.
