Apparently that's correct according to the AAP. A few exceptions: In the second year of life, palivizumab prophylaxis is recommended only for children who needed supplemental oxygen for 28 days or more after birth and who continue to need medical intervention (supplemental oxygen, chronic corticosteroid, or diuretic therapy). Also: Clinicians may consider prophylaxis for children younger than 24 months if they will be profoundly immunocompromised during the RSV season. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/828957

Ahhh, you hit it. That's why we don't qualify. We just eliminated our diuretic. You have to be on a medication to control heart failure, which a diuretic would be. We are only on Enalapril. And it says those on their second year (under 12 months) of life don't automaticly qualify. Here is the link. Hey Facebook friends! Question for you all... Anyone have a pediatrician they like and would recommend in the Waukesha area?
Lisa P. replied:
Dr. Wendy Cooper. Prohealth Care Medical Associates of Waukesha.

Dr. Mark Obermyer at Springdale health center. He came recommended and we'd never trust anyone else now. He did I meet and greet with us before we chose him and we knew right away he was the best for us

LOVE Dr. Carl Peluso. He's located at Elmbrook Pediatrics at 170 th and North. A little out of the way but we love him and the office! We've seen the other doctors in the office in a pinch and they are great too.

Thomas Sheedy, in the professional building next to Waukesha Memorial. He makes you feel like he has all the time in the world for you, and the kids adore him.
Michael K. replied:
I second Jessy, my girls go there and like their doctor, Dr. Donovan. My neighbors also take their kids there and they like it, they see a different doctor.
