Can anyone recommend a vet in the Augusta area that might take payments for an emergency please? My sister just found her cat with a gapping wound on her leg and she...

Ask for Bobbie or Laura at Dr Gradous' & explain the situation. I've never had a problem getting an appt. could be he's booked solid. It's always extremely busy there, even with an appt. Not a large clinic.

Burke will do payments but you have to make arrangements with Dr. Ford beforehand. Dr. Graddous is so old the girls have started limiting his appointments. When you need Dr. G on an emergency the best thing to do is just show up cause somethings the girls can do, like x rays without him being in the room.

You may want to call a cat rescue group to see if they can sponsor Miss Puss Puss and/or you can set up an account at www.gofundme.com. If you set up account, it is best to give people the option of donating directly to the Animal Hospital...that way they know it isn't a scam.

I thought about making a fund raiser for it, but I figured that if anyone local wanted to donate it would be easier for them to call the hospital, but she says she can handle it cause she just called and they said it would be about $100, so unless it goes above that, she says she has it. Thanks everyone for your support and prayers. Miss Puss Puss means the world to my sister and has been with her for the last couple years through some trying times as she is recently divorced. If it is more than what the vet just stated, I will start a fund raiser for her
