Daniel Kaufmann at Sunset Hills Dental is pretty awesome. I don't particularly like being in the dentist's chair either so I zone out and listen to my iPod the entire time. He doesn't care what you need to do to calm yourself, and he's very reasonable.

I really like my dentist! Dr Shiffman, at Shiffman-Morris Dental Associates in Buffalo Grove. It might be farther than you're really interested in driving, but you can stop by my house on the way and have a nice visit!
