What car do you have? If it's Korean, like a Hyundai or Kia or most Holdens, there's this [workshop in Welshpool](http://www.koreanmotorcarspares.com.au/) that specialises in spare parts for Korean cars. My Hyundai overheated badly a few months ago. RAC quoted me over $4 k to get it fixed, but this place did it all for under $1500 k.

the mechanics on Norma Rd in Booragoon (heading towards leach hwy) do a pretty reasonable service at a decent price. not too sure of the actual name of the place but theres an old black and yellow sign out the front saying " WE DO... JAGUAR / BMW / LAND ROVER"

Old mate at All Make Auto in Cannington is who I used to use before my car had a fleet deal. If you're SoR give him a call for a rough quote - he was always good to me when I was a student.

Ever thought about doing it yourself in the driveway one weekend? Oil and filter should cost you about $50, depending on the car.
