I had that problem with this machine. The feed dog bullet finally freed up but the dogs would not actually drop. I used Rust Release WD-40 and they still would not drop. I finally used a flat blade screwdriver to pry under bed in the area where I could see where downward movement should be. Finally they started moving. I kept pushing dogs up with button and pushed for down prying each time. Finally they started working a little but not without help. I kept repeating for the longest time. Now they drop like intended. This machine I was told I could take - they had set by dumpster for scrap. I got it all freed up and it sews just fine. They bashed back side of nose door and I created a temporary throat slide plate as it was long gone.
