Seek out a dental school like Stony Brook or the dental clinic with northwell’s dental residency. They charge significantly less and have treatment plans that are typically affordable. Downside is students are doing the work (overseen by attending dental professors)

Dental 365 and massapequa oral have worked on me and I have no dental insurance. Dental 365 requires cash or card upfront. Massapequa oral accepted check after work was complete.
Whether your ripped off or not is a matter of opinion. I had two wisdom teeth pulled at dental 365 and it cost me $1100 which is the going rate. Some people might think it's a rip off. I do know that dental 365 offers a plan that's 150 bucks a year and it includes two cleanings and some other items.
Massapequa oral charged me 475 for one wisdom tooth. But they are an oral surgeon and I dont know if they offer routine services.
I can tell you that I went to the centereach dental 365 and they fucked me up. Took them almost 2 hours to pull my two wisdom teeth without being put under anesthesia. Caused me so much pain that I was nearly passing out as I was driving to the Rx to pickup meds. It also took me nearly a week to recover and had bruising and major swelling. I couldnt inject enough painkillers.
Massapequa oral took 20 minutes to pull one wisdom tooth. Little to no pain. They used less novicane and I recovered in 2-3 days with no swelling.

It's a deal when they charge you almost 200 each cleaning. It's a buisness not a charity. I'm not defending them but when you go by the law of supply and demand the pricing structure works. Water is basically free, remove all water and access to water and you might imagine a good deal for a bottle of water could be hundreds of dollars.

YU Family Dentistry in Medford. This dentist is very gentle and kind. I had severe anxiety and he helped me through it. His technique with needles is amazing no pinching feelings and I had tooth pain already too. Anyways he works very well with people that have no insurance. He believes what people charge out here on Long Island is very ridiculous. It is $80 for a cleaning and x-rays and the visit.
