I'm always fascinated with behavior problems and training. Dogs can pick up on all kinds of subtle cues and react to changes in their environment. You might consider if there have been any changes in your home - new pet, change in schedule, etc. I can't answer your question about trainers, but I'll recommend a show on Saturday morning where you might pick up some DIY tips - Lucky Dog on CBS. The trainer is awesome.
