Does anyone know of a bakery in the Pittsburgh area that makes a good German Apple Strudel? My father and I would love to get one...his grandmother and mother used to...

Potomac Bakery, at 1419 Potomac Ave in Dormont. It is owned and ran by the Fleckenstein family. Been there for a least 50 or 60 years

I know Jean Marc in Millvale makes strudle. It's French with lots of butter in the batter. Very fluffy.

Jim Ernst - is the bakery up there easy to find? I've not been up that way in a long while. I thought maybe Schorr's bakery, too.

Try Oakmont Bakery....if they don't generally have it, I am sure you can put an order in for one.
Anyone remember Barkus bakery? OMG their icing was soo great, so creamy and good, and their cake didnt get all hard right away like the grocery store cakes.
