Driftless Cafe would be my #1 Choice. My wife is originally from this area and we moved here from Madison 5-6 years ago. Out of all the restaurants in Madison, still my favorite. A restaurant that definitely attempts to bridge gaps in the community with local food.

If you want the best, Driftless Cafe. Nothing even comes close. The Kickapoo Inn in Readstown is good and reasonably priced.
