If you can extend the geography past Hinsdale to Clarendon Hill, go to Maijean. It is, far and away the best restaurant in the Western suburbs. And so pretty. http://www.maijean.com/

hmmm, Lemon Tree Grocer and cafe has Excellent food! Located in Downtown Downers Grv. Or if you are feeling like "south of the border" - Front Street Cantina Lemont is just around the corner.

If you're willing to go a bit further west than Downers, the Turf Room in Aurora is amazing.

Wildfire in Oak Brook - not too far or Il Poggiolo Ristorante in Hinsdale

I agree with the Wildfire in Oak Brook. There is a great cluster of restaurants around that area. Another favorite is Harry Carey and Holy Mackeral in the Westin.
