Good morning, I've asked a few times previously and apologize but I'm looking for an excellent primary care physician that draws labs in office. Someone kind,...
Heather B. replied:
Dr.Christopher DeMasi summit medical group Westfield office. He is wonderful.
Karen P. replied:
Dr. Abramson, also at the SMG Westfield office. Lab right in the office, and generally draw a week before the appointment in order to review the results with you. I have seen a few doctors in the Westfield office. They're all good. Best of luck!!
Grace R. replied:
Dr Abramson is good but it's tough to get an appt within a few days if you are sick. I finally switched from her to Dr Deitz in Berkeley Heights and have seen her a few times including last week when she sent me right from her office to get a chest xray there. Doesn't jump to prescribing antibiotics. Very happy with her, Both are Summit Medical Group.

Does anyone know of a good doctor for low back pain? I have tried chiropractors, this is not helping. Thanks
Mickey L. replied:
Paul Abend
Michelle T. replied:
Tried acupuncture? Health In Motion (Kim!) is awesome. Helped with my hip pain throughout my pregnancy.
Susana M. replied:
My husband and I have each thrown our backs out, resulting in crippling lower back pain (at different times). We each recovered fully by seeing our respective doctors, Dr. Nicholas Yatrakis and Dr. Marla Abramson, at Summit Medical Group, who prescribed Narpoxen (a stronger dose of Aleve, which is in the same drug family as Advil) and a muscle relaxant, Cyclobenzaprine (aka Amrix or Fexmid). My husband absolutely hates to take "pills," and he usually refuses to do so, but he was desperate. He was astounded at how quickly he felt better on the medication. My case was worse, so I also benefitted from six weeks of physical therapy in combination with the meds. Pharmaceutical treatments aren't for everything all the time, but I am a believer when it comes to back pain. Get yourself checked out by an MD. Best of luck to you.
Kristofor D. replied:
I went the physical therapy route. I couldn't tie my shoes, it was so bad Karyn Keating is an amazing PT. Her practice is in Cranford. Highly recommended--I had great results Keatingpt.com

Looking for a good internal medicine doctor (adult) - Want someone that is a good listener, not a doctor that rushes you out of the room... :)
Valerie S. replied:
Susan Simon, M.D. at Summit Medical in Westfield. She's very good. You may have to wait awhile for an appointment, but well worth it. I have been through more than my share of bad medicine, and I trust Dr. Simon. You have to remember though that you will be dealing with Summit Medical, and they are known for keeping a tough time schedule. (I think most doctors are these days.)
Kelly F. replied:
Nicole Henry, M.D. at SMG in Westfield.
Anne F. replied:
Dr Abramson at Summit Medical
Adrienne M. replied:
I second Susan Simon!

Looking for primary care physician with great bedside manner. Any suggestions appreciated. I've seen several in the area but am not happy with bedside manner and not...
Joyce F. replied:
I go to Dr. Peter Barry. While he is funny and reassuring, he is also an excellent doctor. He is part of Summit Medical Group but don't hold that against him. He is at 67 Walnut Street in Clark. Right by the new shopping center.
Christina M. replied:
Dr. Claudia Wagner in Westfield or Dr. Amy Gruber in Chatham(worth the drive)
Any good ENT doctors in the area? Or anything that has helped with sinus pressure headaches/congestion suggestions are greatly appreciated! TIA
Michele B. replied:
Jamie Falvey at SMG is great. I take zyrtec nightly, claritin does nothing for me. You could also try using a netti-pot to clear congestion. Advil cold and sinus is good (for every 4 hrs). Also, Musinex - many diff formulas out there. Feel better!
Rachel B. replied:
Drs. Drake and Presti up on Rt. 22
Lena L. replied:
Dr. Chowdhury at ENT in Woodbridge right off the PKWY. Google him. He is excellent and doesn't automatically go to aggressive or invasive solutions.
