Any good information on hotels from people who know the Hartford area? The one listed on the HMF site is booked. Thanks in advance!

You can do EH too for sure ... I was thinking for after the race (on your way home) not thinking the night before to drive in the am - DUHHHH... you can do either. EH is across the bridge (across the walk way for down town). http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g33766-d1546620-Reviews-Hampton_Inn_and_Suites_East_Hartford-East_Hartford_Connecticut.html This one says it is the 10 min walk.

Well .. depends on which way you are coming from but I would go to Rocky Hill then - 20 min out. http://www.hotels.com/hotel/details.html?pa=2&pn=1&ps=2&tab=description&destinationId=1536166&searchDestination=Wethersfield&hotelId=205510&arrivalDate=03-23-13&departureDate=03-24-13&rooms[0].numberOfAdults=2&roomno=1&validate=false&previousDateful=false&reviewOrder=date_newest_first I have personally stayed here (grew up the next town over). Or into Manchester as others have suggested.

then you don't want Manchester, that's off 84. There are a TON in Hartford (but boy I'd make sure I was downtown) ... otherwise, go back UP 91 and hit in Windsor?? The airport is there and you can have your pick for decent prices too. My parents stay here when they fly out early from Bradley International and usually pay about $89-109 http://www.hotels.com/hotel/details.html?pa=2&pn=1&ps=2&tab=description&destinationId=1455260&searchDestination=Hartford&hotelId=153480&arrivalDate=03-23-13&departureDate=03-24-13&rooms[0].numberOfAdults=2&roomno=1&validate=false&previousDateful=false&reviewOrder=date_newest_first
