Dr Lee Carter in Autaugaville. I was screwed around by the VA and by other local doctors (one even mentioned here) and no one could give me clear-cut answers or even medicine to help with my massive back pain I had dealt with over ten years. From the first visit Dr. Carter not only showed how much he genuinely cared, but was providing medicine and genuine help. Turns out, what the other doctors said was a "normal, healthy back", ended up being diagnosed with spina bifida, a few bulging discs, degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my back. Now I'm getting help and slowly getting better. Do yourself a favor and give Dr Carter with Ivy Creek Medical Center a shot. You won't regret it.

I went many, many years suffering with so many problems...went to Dr Stephen Cunningham, internal Medicine in Montgomery...he listened, told me he thought he knew what was wrong. Ran tests and later told me this is what I had and why I was having all those problems. It had a name!

We really like OurMed.... Been seeing Dr.McLemore and Dr.Muller since they were at Pri-Med....they are the only 2 doctors there ...open 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Stay away from Elmore Hospital. Twice I went there and they did nothing. The 1st time, I had went to All Med (when they were still good) with a migraine that hadn't gone away for 3 days. The doc sent me to Elmore hospital because he said something wasn't right with my eyes..went and waited in the LOUD waiting room. When they finally took me back they didn't do any scans and sent me home. The last time I went to Elmore was in December because I had been sick and couldn't keep anything down and had shortness of breath. They sent me hm with prescription for nausea which I couldn't keep down either. The next day had to call for an ambulance because I thought I was having a heart attack. I wouldn't let the ambulance take me back to Elmore so I went to Prattville. Luckily I wasn't having a heart attack. .had a massive anxiety attack and was so dehydrated I collapsed in the exam room. They kept me 2 days until everything was getting better.

Kim Cowart Moore ... if you still have migraines and need to see a neurologist for them, Dr. Hamp Greene at Baptist Health Neurological Clinic is wonderful. I used to work for him for 12 years and migraines is his specialty. His number is 334-281-7299 and he has helped many people with chronic migraine issues.

Eye care plus in Prattville is excellent. Dr Crockett. He has small kids of his own and is trained to work with children. My daughter has anxiety issues and flipped out but once we went one time she begs to go back and see her Friends there. They sre always so patient. .I can't say enough about how wonderful they are. And they have a playroom for the kids to play in while they are waiting. I am taking my 10 month old this week..they do free well eye checks under a year. They are all.so great there love everyone we have had contact with. I even switched to them myself.

We use Dr. Izer at ITEC. He has been my daughters doc for almost 10 years and she loves him. I know ITEC has a wetumpka office but I don't know if izer sees patients there.

Dr. Rogers with Owens is great with kids.

We use Dr. Murphy at ITEC. My son has seen him since he was about 3 . They go to the Wetumpka office once a week depending on which Dr you see. They're all great.

My wife works at Eyecare Plus in Prattville with Dr. Crockett. She has been there for five years and she loves her job. They see a lot of children and they specialize in pediatric exams. They are associated with the program Infant See. Where they do a free eye exam for babies 6-12 months old. They are excellent with children. Call them 365-2020!!!!

Our general practioner in Montgomery (Dr. George Handy, MD) recommended that if i ever needed to see a physician locally, here in Eclectic, Dr. McCullouch would be the one I need to see, but I always try to go and see Dr. Handy any way,... he's been my doctor so long now,... I can't bring myself to finding a closer doctor:/

Dr. M is great. Even though we moved from Eclectic years ago I continue to make the drive to see him.

And don't expect to ever get your prescriptions called in right at Lyons office. It ain't happening.

Just pay attention with Dr. McCullough with your children, he is QUICK to prescribe adderol. Sadly, I've heard about many people who went specifically to him just so they could get a prescription of it.

Dr Jason Randall at Southern Orthopedic Surgeons fixed my shattered wrist a couple years ago, and when I told him my goal with PT after surgery was to get 100% movement back (ability to do push-ups and anything else), he prescribed aggressive PT treatment for me, which was perfect. I have 100% full movement back, and I'm very happy with my surgery results. Couldn't recommend him more!

Promise Physical Therapy in Prattville is supposed to have Aqua Therapy. However, even though my rheumatologist recommended Aqua Therapy, and I chose Promise for this reason, they did not offer me Aqua Therapy after their initial assessment. It was a nice facility and the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Not sure why I wasn't given Aqua Therapy.

I personally preferred Dr Kemp over the Center for Pain. Imho he is more one on one with his patients.

Dr. Julio Delgato at the ALLMED Wellness Center off Taylor Road has 3 specialties. Two of them are the endocrine system and cardiology. I see him for my diabetes and he diagnosed my son's hypothyroidism. He also treats my familial cholesterol disease. He is really good with diagnosing autoimmune diseases. Not a pill pusher, either.

You can call UAB Health Center in Montgomery at 284-5211 and they will assist you in locating physician for your needs. They are located next to Baptist Hospital South.

Dr Dupre with OBGYN Associates is awesome! He has a great sense of humor and I've never felt uncomfortable at all. He delivered my little one about 3 weeks ago and I can say I felt like I could fully trust him with mine and my baby's health and wellbeing. He's great!

OBGYN associates would be my recommendation as well. All of those doctors are awesome... However Dr. Allen Dupree is my favorite.

I see Dr. Desautels for gynecology. He has an office in Montgomery but also sees patients at the Wetumpka clinic. Only had one appointment with him because we are new to the area also, but it was easy to get in with him, and I will be sticking with him. I use Dr. Lyons and Wetumpka as my primary caregiver. I like him and his staff also.

Have to tell my happy story re Dr. Goldhagen. About 15 or so years, he suggested a shot in my knee. Said it might help for up to 8 months. It helped quite a long time...and I guess it still is, since I have (knock on wood) never needed another! Pain-free Knee! HALLELUJAH!

I use Dr Jakes however his office is in Montgomery.The office is near Baptist South. I've heard to avoid Dr. Falahi . I heard he is a real JERK !I I believe he is in with Dr. Jakes. If so, demand you become a patient of DR. JAKES !I ( I do not know anything about the new UAB CENTER at baptist. I do go once every 6 months for a check-up by a gastroenterology at the KIRKLAN CENTER OF UAB. If the center at Baptist is as great as the Kirklan Center of UAB, then it will be a good experience.
