Any suggestions for Dennis?
Can anyone recommend a good dog day care ? I have a 2 month old chocolate lab and I'm heading away for four days.

I am not sure where he is located however Doggieritaville in Weymouth is awesome (been going for more than 10 years) and Doggie Fun & Fitness in Kingston is awesome too...Used them a lot over the past year and they are wonderful too.

Laurie, i agree completely . A puppy of that age is not old enough to come to daycare. After rereading the post i see that it is only 8 weeks. I own Furry Tails, Inc. and we would not allow a pup of that age to come and play. In addition, the pup needs to have a complete series of shots and at 8 weeks of age, that has not been done yet.

I agree with Laurie Forman. Try to find a foster home using a personal or professional recommendation, and always visit first! I used DogVacay.com for my adult dog and the dog-sitter checked in and sent pictures of him every day. I felt very comfortable since my dog has some special needs due to serious neglect before he was rescued. Your puppy needs special attention, too!

I don't recommend Doggieritaville. I tried it twice and our dog came home with kennel cough once (even with the vaccination) and conjunctivitis the second time. I wouldn't take chances with a puppy. Duxbury Kennel in the Pines has been great.
