DeVille’s Barber Shop. They are over at Meridian and Douglas. Been going there for a couple years now and am so glad I made the change to them.

I like going to Eric Fisher Academy, because you'll always be guaranteed that an expert stylist will oversee your cut, even though a student is doing half of the work.

I know you literally said you don't want Great Clips, but I've honestly had the great experiences at the Great Clips at 37 th and Woodlawn.

Village Barber Shop! Gone there for years and have never had a complaint, they are a wonderful group.

Well, you’ll be pleased to know you’re going to paying considerably less. There are great barber shops all over the city. I’ve been to two, depending on where I was living (primarily East and Northeast). Plaza Barbers in Andover is good. I always had a difficult time getting a spot back when I was going there, but that was pre-covid and it was walk-in. I assume now it’s all appt based so it may be better now for scheduling purposes. I now go to a single barber, Razor Smooth Barber at Central and Greenwich. She does a great job. I’m bald with a beard and go twice a month for a straight shave and beard lineup. https://www.vagaro.com/razorsmoothbarber I also take all four of my kids there for haircuts. I also have buddies that go there for a full head shave. I pay $15 for my beard, haircuts are $22, all pre-tip. She’s appt based as well. I schedule all of mine about a month in advance. Good luck.

**Prime Time** is a good barbershop that seems similar to where you've been going. It's clean and nice, the barbers are young and talented, it's reasonably priced, and they accept walk-ins. **Riverside** is amazing, but he is strictly appointment only and you've got to book *months* in advance, which makes it considerably less appealing.

Idk about beards specifically, but DeVille's in old town had a good old fashioned vibe to it and they're pretty cheap. They've done a good job every time I've got my hair cut there. Irving Jack's is outrageously expensive and I'm pretty sure they hire girls that are pretty over being able to give a decent men's cut.

I highly recommend Valerie at The Men's Cut at Hillcrest Plaza. Men's cuts are $16 ($14 if you make an appointment or if you check-in in Facebook). Beard cleanup/trim is only $5 and she is very skilled and personable - best place to go in Wichita!

Go see Fish or Reo at A Lil Off the Top. They fade my brother's beard and it looks great. Cheap. Less grumpy than some other popular places.
