I sent both of my kids to the McGaw YMCA summer camp programs - kindergarten all the way up to high school - and also Camp Echo. I can't say enough good things about their programs! http://www.mcgawymca.org/youth-teens/childrens-center/summer-day-camps/

We've also done summer camp at the Botanic Gardens (half day) and Chiaravalle Montessori (full day)

Camp Wanago at the YMCA is a great great option for young kids. Swimming lessons every week, beach excursions on Fridays, field trips on Wednesdays...our kids loved it!

Chandler Newburger has a fun sports camp with full day options and day trips too. My kids really enjoyed it!

Robert Crown Center has an amazing array of Summer activities to choose from. The camp counselors are amazing and caring.

Depending on the age of your child, Dance Center Evanston has amazing summer dance workshops for older kids that are all day. They fill up FAST.
