Your best best bet is going to be a student with a good ear and access to a college/uni studio or a friend with a home studio for £100 all in. Depending on what you're looking for you'd probably need anywhere from 2-4 days to track 3 songs really well. If you were just looking to kick out a quick demo then you may get it all down in a day depending on the style of music and how well practiced you all are. If you're looking for a pro studio check out our place. I'm familiar with Bilston Town Hall but not the White Rose. I know Darlaston well. Its a bit run down these days. I contacted Mike at The Robin. He says he's tried to book Family many times but they keep turning him down. Can we put some pressure on them through this site?

Roger has been playing and touring with The Shortlist in recent years - Family as a band don't exist anymore - of the original lineup (Charlie Whitney, Jim King, Rob Townsend, Ric Grech, Roger Chapman) only Roger and Rob played their reunion gig(s) in February 2013 at the Shepherds Bush Empire, don't think there will be another reunion gig. Wayne, I didn't imply you meant any disrespect. Yes, Poli & Jim weren't original members, but they truly were integral members of Family. We all wished John Whitney could have been there, but I respect his decision not to perform. I believe there was and will always be a rift between Chappo and Charlie. What a shame... As far as Love and Arthur Lee go, I totally agree with you. Johnny Echols has been performing with Arthur's old band (Baby Lemonade) as Love Revisited. I love Johnny and his contributions to Love. He definitely should be performing at any tribute gig with any so called "big stars"...
