Looking for a plumber I have a friend who thinks she may have a leak somewhere in her house/line and is looking to get quotes for a plumber to find it and fix it. Just...

It depends on your crowd and how tight your budget is, but I think djs are pretty critical for the overall vibe if you are wanting dancing as a primary activity. They also keep the events on track. I’ve been to several weddings recently where the absence of a dj, or a volunteer/inexperienced dj definitely impacted the flow and vibe.

I'm not in jersey, but I'm in a hcl area. Go to the knot, and just message all of the ones that don't have price listed. You don't have to write anything, just input wedding info and click send. I found one for 900 who also mcs. The actual dj part is important, but a good mc is vital to keeping everything running smoothly. If you have someone else to mc, great. Otherwise it's worth spending a bit more on a dj.

Since music isn't a big thing for us, we're doing Spotify premium for brunch music. And since a relative of mine is an entertainment host, we are working with him (and giving him his fair rate) to be our emcee/master of ceremonies on the day. For entertainment we are planning a fun literary themed trivia game.

Use thumbtack.com to search for one. They are usually way cheaper and I have found good djs on there for parties! I am in northern nj so I know pricing can get crazy but you should be able to find a good dj on that site for more around 700-900. A DJ is worth it though, how many people will be at your wedding?

Music was super important to us but we don't really like DJs at all, so we just used Spotify Premium! Our venue had a sound system + microphone we could use (we didn't even use the microphone, no speeches at all) for an extra $100ish. I had separate playlists created for while guests were arriving, walking up and down the aisle, cocktail hour, first dance, and then after dinner music. I actually had 2 playlists for after dinner--one for if the vibe was feeling more laid back that would carry us through the night and then one for if we felt people wanted to dance to party music, which we did end up switching to and it was a BLAST! My planner had everything downloaded to her phone (with mine as a backup) and knew when to press play on everything/when to switch playlists.
I was honestly kind of worried about it leading up to the big day (would people like the music we picked, will they dance to the party tunes, etc) but it ended up working for us so perfectly, I would highly recommend it to anyone considering that option! We got a TON of compliments on the music and it was really fun putting together the playlists and now having those to keep forever. Saving the money was a big plus too of course. Happy to share more info or any playlists too if you want :)

We are trying to keep our wedding as budget friendly as possible, but opted to go for the DJ. Didn't want to take the risk of a Spotify playlist not going correctly, plus the DJ serves as the emcee for the event and is able to do introductions, change the playlist based on the vibe of the guests, etc. We are also in South Jersey and chose Center Stage Entertainment. They're phenomenal and also did several of our friends' weddings.

I used Mr Rooter last year when I had to have a toilet replaced. The guy who came out was super friendly, did a full house inspection for any leaks, walked me through everything (and even showed me all the shut off values I didn't know I had in case of an emergency.) They weren't the cheapest option, but I felt it was worth it for the service.

She should be able to figure out if she has a leak without calling a plumber. Go out to the street and find the water meter box and flip up the panel on top. Inside there will be a little gauge that spins when water is being used. Then make sure all of the water is shut off at all the taps/everywhere inside the house. Go out and look at the water meter and see if it's spinning, if it is then she has a leak somewhere.
