Anyone, I know there's a great equine opthalmic surgeon I think in Liverpool, will check with Bridget King who will maybe remember his name.

Nick West our vet in Chepstow referred our horse to Bristol Uni who happened to have a top ophthalmic surgeon visiting I think from Liverpool. Polly needed pioneering treatment ~ her eye was badly injured and she had traumatised, torn and separated the lining of the guttural pouch located in her cornea. They used a contact lens to keep the eye in place whilst she was in hospital. For a while the left side of her face was paralysed. After a week and a half I had her home to continue her treatment ~ She was blind for a while and her eye looked totally white. BUT she made a 100% recovery. Not sure but it may have been Tim Knott from the http://www.equineeyeclinic.co.uk/meet-the-team.html Good Luck x Sep 26
