Sue, turn water off, take knob off, take escusion plate off, u will see a brass pin on top off valve, pull upwards using pliers then pull the stem straight out towards you, take the stem to Home Depot, new cartrage stem will be 13$ to 30$ depending, then reinstall everything in reverse order and wallah, fixed! If u need help call me 421-8313
