I was put on trilepital along with phenobarbital they both worked and was seizure free for a year and a half then my sodium dropped to low because of the trilepital He now has me on lamictal and phenobarbital and it's been about a year for me so far. I was scared to death to try new meds. Keppra made me feel like the world was in 3 d it was very scary. I have been on the phenobarbital for 10 years though and I believe that is the major one that helps. Try new meds is very scary especially with new side affects. I am going to recommend Dr. Shauyto michigan neurology behind port Huron hospital. 989-0000 he is a very good Nero dr. I have seen at least 40 different ones since I was 18. Not saying he is god but he did help me and a lot of other patients say he has too. Try to stay strong for her, she needs you. I was very hard on me and I had a lot of fear that I would never stop having them. I have been in and out of jobs for 12 years, they all fired me for missing work because of them. Been almost 2 years and I still can't find a good job. My father is all I ever had! Then I met a girl and had a daughter and they stopped. Now my father and wife to be soon I hope, take care of my family and I believe that's wrong. I want to support my own family and that's all I want. The biggest fear I have now is that my two year old daughter could have them or have effects from the meds I was on. Not trying to but in on your post or tell you my life story. I just want you to keep in your heart, don't ever lose hope. God does answer us! Sometimes it takes awhile but he does. Hang in there!
