Here's the deal with midwives and vbac I Washington: the malpractice insurance that most practices carry will not allow a midwife to attend a vbac because its "high risk". I ended up going through Clarissa Wise at the women's health pavilion in Longview after failing to find a midwife. She is an ob, but she was awesome, an has like a 75% success rate for vbac (national average is about 38%). She did delayed cord clamping and discouraged any interventions including induction. And she was totally cool with carrying past 42 weeks.
