I have taken my daughter with me for an apt to Dr. Lightner with no issues! As a matter of fact, they have always asked how my daughter and the rest of the family are doing. I can't believe someone would make you cancel an appointment if you brought your kids!

Don't know what Dr. Echt looks like. Never seen the woman in 4 or 5 visits. Always get a PA. Son had skin condition that they under treated. Prescribed medication that was too weak to clear up condition. I was told this by our family physician, who upped the dosage and resolved the issue intwo days. Never again will I darken those doors.

Dr. Matheis can only treat simple problems. I almost was admitted to the hospital because of her prescribing the wrong medicine for me. I recommend Dr. Challgren at Southern Dermatology. Well.... Now I'm beginning to question myself..... I have a history of Melanoma..... and a grandfather who's melanoma went to stage 4 and ended up killing him.... I am having some issues again...and requested an appointment online with Dr. Matheis toda y...... now I am wondering if I should BAG that plan and just drop dead from Melanoma. Man... I miss my Dermatologist....sadly....driving 10 hours to see her is NOT an option. LMAO

Lindsey I understand your frustration. I would go to another doctor if Melanoma was a concern. I called Dr. Matheis office with a fever of 102 and chills and they refused to see me and told me they would be closed until the following Tuesday because she was on vacation. I was sobbing on the phone and begging for help. I called Dr. Challgren and was seen the next morning. He told me I was one day away from being in the hospital. He is a REAL doctor that truly cares for his patients. I highly recommend Southern Dermatology and Dr. Challgren.

Central dermatology in Chapel Hill. Dr. Goldstein & Laura, PA I had an awful exp at Echt and have seen Dr. Mathesis for minor things with my kids- but they always have quirky billing- had to pay upfront, then got a bill for full amount and when I called they owed me $??

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Mathesis. I go to Dr. Wilmoth at Southern Dermatology.

Dr. Wilmoth is also excellent at Southern Dermatology. He treated a friend of mine for Melanoma.

Lindsay, I'm a melanoma survivor. Dr Echt found my melanoma and has done any of my MOHs surgeries I've had done. I only see Dr Ghassemien, who's an absolute doll or Dr Echt. I've been going there 11 years and have never had a problem. Dr Lightener blew me off when I had an exam there, she skipped right over my melanoma, said it was nothing. 3 weeks later I was having major surgery.

I have been seeing Dr. Matheis for several years and couldn't be more pleased. After leaving Dr. Echt's office because she told me I had too much hair to look through, knowing my grandmother had passed from Malignant melanoma which started on her head. Dr. Matheis has been an excellent provider, finding my melanoma and continues to monitor me very closely.

Dr. Matheis is a kind person. She did not work for me because I have chronic skin problems caused by blood cancer. She did not know how to treat my condition.

Amanda Sue Cardwell -- The first sentence of this post says, " Can anyone recommend a mascara that holds and is waterproof?" The OP literally asked for mascara suggestions. People are recommending mascaras. I get what you're saying about lots of reps th rowing their names and links in the ring, but plenty of other people have posted about other brands-- Clinique, Estee Lauder, Ulta, Rimmell, Mabelline, etc.-- these ladies may or may not work for these companies...but what does it matter? Yes, home-sales-people are overzealous by nature (which is exactly why I don't sell Younique or Young Living or any of the other products I use...I don't want to risk becoming "that girl" to all of my friends), but you can't be mad at the Younique reps without "shaming" all of the other people who have mentioned other brands by name.

I have been going to Centre OBGYN for since I was 16-17 years old. (I will be 40 in November!) I love them & their practice but it's so far away & now that I am a working mama again, I need a practice that's open on Friday afternoons.

Surprised to hear that. Dr. O'Loughlin usually doesn't take pediatric but did it as a favor for me. I really love him and the practice. Figured out my son's problem in a few weeks after other doctors couldn't figure it out. Try to call Wake Gastroenterology, Dr. Ender.
