S.O.S. = looking to see if anyone might know of ~ or be connected to ~ a good cardiologist? Or know of someone who may be able to answer some questions about cardiology...

Michigan Heart at St. Joseph has a good reputation. Message Lynn Antisdel, she can tell you about her doc. Sending best to you and your Dad.
Linda H. replied:
I have another name for you at MI Heart. Brother of a friend of mine. He does stent work but would know who you need if you don't need that. His name is Arthur Szyniszewski. His sister Ski is one of my mosaic buddies.
Elissa A. replied:
We only have experience with doctors in Illinois and St. Louis, but from my experience the Cleveland Clinic is the place you want to go for any kind of surgery (if it's driveable, for us it was too far at the time). Hope all is well and if you want anyone to talk to about aortic valve replacements, aortic stenosis, enlarged hearts, low refraction rates, PFO's, or aortic dissection-I'm your girl!

I like Michigan Heart at St. Joseph as well. I am by no means an expert on the heart but I do have some knowledge and understanding of how a lot of it works and would be more than happy to talk to you about it and help you figure things out. I also h ave a very good friend who is a geriatric physician that I trust wholeheartedly and she just started working with a UM clinic (used to be a visiting physician). She is often my go to person if I have questions and I would be more than happy to pass something by her. Just give me a call.
Ok, in order to take baby home we need to identify a good pediatrician and a pediatric cardiologist. Go !
Carrie O. replied:
I agree w/ Jillian Tait, we use Dr. Anderber as well. He is great! We also see Kelly, one of the NP's there, she is amazing as well!
Jennifer T. replied:
While I too love Dr. Anderburg, I have chosen Dr. Thorrez because I can walk there! They have a very competent group, PA Suresh Joshua is my favorite, with Dr. Boyer and Aiken also being great! Xo
Nichole B. replied:
My aunt Debbie Loukotka has a wonderful pediatrician Dr.Kucera. I would go with her to their visits and I was always impressed and he was very nice. I'm sure she would say the same.
Jean H. replied:
doubling down on lib peds. Beth Barclay also great. Tansey Rosset, partner to Rob at Garden Works, is NP there.
Courtney M. replied:
We use Drs. Turke and Thomashow. Ann Arbor and Chelsea offices. Wonderful, wonderful doctors. Dr. Thomashow will even help with holistic approaches if necessary or requested. Love them.
Nicole R. replied:
IHA Dr Francis Yousef. Best!
Mara F. replied:
Dr. Cotts, he is my sister's doc and my cousin's mentor at Mott
P P. replied:
I always recommend Liberty Pediatrics but they may be closed to new clients. I also really love Dr Karen Brenner at IHA, she is an amazingly compassionate, smart & energetic Pediatrician, she speaks 3 languages & she does a lot of community service.... Check her out....
Lucia T. replied:
Roger Anderberg, hands down! And he will put you in contact with the best cardiologist.
Felipe D. replied:
I second Drs. Turke and Tomashow. They have my son, and many other Roadhouse babies, as patients.
Monica A. replied:
Dr Dumont is a really great pediatrician!
Adam C. replied:
We love Beth Barclay (and everyone at Liberty Peds - Tansy and Andy and Lauren and...)! I had Dr. Dumont as a kid and he was great too!
Adam C. replied:
I should say that Beth from Liberty Peds is a big Zeppelin fan (she delights in our son singing "Immigrant Song" even more than we do). Depending on your musical taste that could be awesome or a deal-breaker...
Sara S. replied:
Lauren Helms. She is at U of M. My son Jack sees her at Briarwood Center for Women Children and Young Adults. He was a 33 weeker and when he was high needs I felt really supported by her. She is a mom of little ones too. My son Gabriel sees Lisa Hammer at the same place. She's really great for breast feeding stuff. She runs the bf support group that meets weekly. My advice is to do umhs for his healthcare in general.
