I agree with Kristen Freeman. Shasta head start is AMAZING. Judy Oakley is a wonderful teacher.

The family worker for shasta head start should be in the office 2 weeks before the program starts (same time as public school) or you can call the main office in Redding 530-241-1036.

Karuk Head Start. Marlene is a great teacher. Great ratings. They have a running bus.

Yes but at least last year Shasta only had a 4 year old class and no bus. Karuk had both and a bus. There are also state preschools and private. Call Siskiyou Child Care Council in Weed.

Vina Swenson is a great pediatrician and her husband, Rick Swenson is a great family doc. They are both in the same office: Swenson Medical Clinic. Another wonderful pediatrician is Bill Broeckel who is right up the street. And his wife Judy Broeckel is a family physcian. They are both in the same office (Fairchild Medical Clinic) and are wonderful docs as well. I know them and have worked with them and have only good things to say about all of them:).
