Call the local children's home society. The Yuba City office is 673-7503. They provide you with a list of daycare centers both home and preschool based. Even if you don't receive their services, they can direct you in the right way. Call around and tou r the daycares. My mom has a daycare and always asks parents to come and see if they're comfortable with them and the way the house is set up. She does 5 am to 6 pm, or else I'd recommend her. Good luck! Definitely a hard choice to make

Oh kk I'm sorry. You can also create a profile on care.com pay the membership fee (like $10/mth) and it also has profiles for baby sitters. It helps because depending on what you pay for...they can have their basic background info on their profile. I really like it. I have a profile there but for pet sitting and I've had successful job replies and such.

My daughter is 21 now. All the day care providers I went through. The absolute best one was a German gal Iris Martin in yuba city. Food is from scratch, very strict schedule, extremely safe, loving, very professional. I love Miss Iris. My daughter loves Miss Iris.

I would recommend mother goose preschool. They are amazing! My daughter loves it! However if you are just looking for some social interaction in addition to your in-home nanny care, I teach music and movement classes that are a great way for your child to meet other kids and work on social skills. We have a 1-3 year old group that is a one hour, weekly mommy & me (or nanny & me) class.
