Looking to volunteer as an HS tutor Hey all,
I'm looking to volunteer as a HS tutor (preferably math, but I can also tutor introductory spanish, chemistry, english, SATs, and most other subjects). I'm a doctoral student in Philly and am just looking to do a bit of weekly volunteer time (ideally on Fridays or Saturdays during the day).
I looked online at Philadelphia's volunteer resources, but most of them were for adult education. Does anyone know any needy families in need of a tutor or know of an organization I could contact?
Thanks!

Philadelphia Futures is a great organization for public high school students in Philly who will be first-generation college students. Many students need math tutoring, even advanced level math tutoring as their public high schools are usually woefully lacking in higher level math instruction. Your contact for tutoring is here: http://www.philadelphiafutures.org/en/get-involved/tutor If you are interested in helping some really deserving and nice students, Futures is your org.
