Batavia Family Dental right on wilson street is excellent if you are tired of being upsold. I went there years ago after another dentist (don't worry, way out in Oak Park) put a crown on one very small cavity and recommended a second one. Dr. Korpan took one look and told me it was so small that he didn't even need novacaine to fill it (and he was right!). They are also very much a "mom and pop" shop if you like smaller offices.

Dr. Balek (not female) in Batavia. I recommend him 100%. There has been one dentist mentioned here several times that gave my kids a terrible phobia of dentists after 2 visits. I did not find the staff or dentist to be easy to work with. Rushed, insulting, and projected my kids fear of the procedures towards me as a reflection of my inability to control them. May be fine for adults but not kids especially kids dealing with fear. My experience...others seem to have felt differently. Maybe it was an isolated situation.

Not from Batavia, but Bowes Dental Care (off Randall) is worth the drive in South Elgin. Check them out on Yelp..their customer service & prices are AMAZING! Especially if you don't have insurance. Plus they are perfectionists..& Dr. Yenna actually cleans your teeth instead of just an assistant. I had a crown replaced, and I actually felt compelled to bring her flowers at my next appointment because she did such an amazing job!

We all love Dr Balek in Batavia on Wilson (east, almost to Kirk). He doesn't use a hygienist, he does everything himself. I like that because the kids get comfortable with him rather than him being the scary guy who comes at the end. He's very friendly, reasonably priced, and has never recommended services I didn't need. Everyone from my 3 year old to my dentist-hating self loves him.
