Our cat just went in to Jefferson Veterinary Hospital today for surgery. She's been vomiting and sensitive to touch and the vet found a mass in the abdomen so they're going to do surgery to explore and remove it. Hoping it's just a blockage and not a tumor. Will let you know what we think of them when it's all over.

Doorbell Vet comes to your home for checkups and routine services. They bring a tech for blood work. Nothing but good things to say about them. We've used Doorbell Vet for quite some time and are very happy with their services. Lab results and notes are available via a patient portal and you can book appointments online.

Brighton Animal Hospital. We have a greyhound and they seems to care for many of them in the area, but we've just overall been happy with the care we've received there.

We just went to the 24 hr one in Henrietta for our dog who's had had diarrhea the past day or two. We were there an incredibly short amount of time for how busy it was. My gf has taken our dog there once before and said her experience was top notch the first time too. Highly recommended coming from a couple who moved to Rochester two years ago. Friendly, loving staff that was very effecient. Will be taking our dog (and cat) there from now on.

[Caring for cats](http://public.greecechamber.org/list/member/caring-for-cats-veterinary-hospital-greece-114.htm) It's in Greece but the staff is nice and they have decent hours.

I've been happy with Suburban Animal Hospital. But let's be realistic here, /u/All_Nimbly_bimbly -- a lot depends on where in the area you live. There are lots of good vets around; the question is, which one is close enough to you to be convenient?
A Brockport native is looking for someone to research his uncle who was a WWII vet (also grew up in Brockport). Researcher would receive payment for their time. PM me...

I need helping catching my cat and getting her to the groomers or vets. She deaparatly needs to be shaved- matter fur. She's skittish and hides. I unable to catch her...
Rachel M. replied:
Be careful dosing a cat with human medication yourself. Your best bet may be to take her to the vet to be shaved and updated on all shots. Typically with a skittish cat, if it is not up to date on their rabies shot, most places won't be able/willing to handle them. I had a similar situation with my cat. I ended up taking him to Dr Shemanski in Hilton. As far as catching your cat, you may be able to borrow a TNR, safe trap from somewhere, or possibly even lure her into a carrier by leaving it out and putting goodies in it so she feels it's safe
