Has anyone gone to a chiropractor for back pain during pregnancy? I'm looking for some recommendations for doctors in the Chicago area while we're in town!! Thanks!

It helps but only birthing the baby will really solve the problem. Dr Scott Kosek #1-815-485-8200. Not always easy getting in, love the chiro can't stand the desk ladies! They'll probably have u do xrays though first before any manipulations

Judy I work for a chiro who just helped a woman during her pregnancy. She has had great results! However he is in Plainfield, Healing Pathways Chiropractic & Acupuncture. www.myhealingpathway.com
Rebecca T. replied:
It did help but it does require some maintenance. Just because it depended on what I was doing with the boys. Dr. Murakami is a Christian and he does not just put a band aid on the problem to make money. I know there are a lot of chiro's who have been accused of this.

Dr Just Morrey on 143 rd- she's amazing!! Obviously haven't gone for pregnancy pain, but I use to go to her when I was in high school. Highly recommended:

Judy, mine in Sun Prairie was great when I was pregnant. Her name is Dr. Sara Kirkman over at LSM (in front of the faith living center).

Another great Chiropractor is Dr. Jason Mehess on 163 rd and Harlem Ave. His number is 708-429-9090. I've had two spinal surgeries and he is the only doc I will go to. He's fabulous, quick, and it doesn't take multiple appointments to realign me when I really mess my back up. I can not say enough about him! Good luck to your friend!
has anyone had any experience with chiropractic care? I'm currently suffering more than ever with my scoliosis and terrible back pain. of course military insurance...

I have had problems with my scoliosis my entire life. I have been going to a chiropractor since I was about 9 and he has help soo much. His name is Dr. Donald Reed. He is in Mt. Greenwood which is kind of a drive for u but he is the best of the best honestly. He has been seeing my whole family for over 20 years and has helped everyone! I highly recommend him!!!

OMG!!!! So I also have scoliosis and if you are EVER in the Pendleton area, there's a place called Joint Medical and almost everyone is covered because the doctor is a Physiatrist (spelling) and the only one in SD county. And they are AMAZING!!!!! There's alot of treatments that they do and they HATE doing surgery. If you'd like, I can try to contact them and see if they have any of my records and what stretches they used to have me do... Granted I did shock therapy, had adjustments and a 10 min massage as well, but the stretches are awesome as well Just let me know
In need of going back to the chiropractor my back is killing me!!! I can tell the difference since I haven't been there in a while. On a positive note looking forward to...
Had back pain, have HMO insurance, went to primary care Dr. for referral to Chiropractor, he prescribed pills, they didn't work, so he sent me for x-rays, no bone damage...
