Not in DP, but Twins in Bay Shore on Main St. is awesome.

My parents have been using Doreen Acuff, DVM for twenty years. She's nice, has great rapport with the animals and best of all, she comes to you instead of you going to her! She's amazing. http://www.wellness.com/dir/3937669/veterinarians/ny/saint-james/acuff-doreen-m#referrer
GetMeOutOfMyHead replied:
Not Deer Park but I live right there and travel to Amityville (village not hood), Four Paws is the name and they have a coupon for money off your first visit I think it's like $40. Very very very good practice and the doctor actually cares.
piIeczka replied:
Dr. Harris Veterinary Housecalls. She comes to your place and is cheaper than walk-in places. She's been seeing my pets for over 10 years.
Eiramasil919 replied:
I'm in deer park but I use Island Rescue in Bay Shore. Reasonable prices and easy to get appointments. I've gotten good care for my dog and cat there.
killfluffy replied:
We tried that Dix Hills animal hospital but, they're very expensive. There's a visiting vet who comes to your house whose information we're trying to track down now. She's supposed to be very good. I'll update this comment with that info if I wind up getting it.

Christine A. replied:
Mill Plain vet in Danbury CT. Dr Jean Dickey Quaintance is the best she has a english bull dog and an old english bulldog she will be the best vet for you in my opinion
Brittany M. replied:
Thank you! We currently go to Ridgefield Vet so Danbury is not too much farther.
Melissa A. replied:
Ash Creek in Bridgeport. Dr. Kris Hansen is the vet the rescue uses for all their southwest Ct bullies . He sees quite a few every week. Plus he owns his own bullies.
Laurette R. replied:
Dr Hanson is a Bulldog savvy vet for sure, we use him a lot, but you are going to need an orthopedic vet who also knows Bulldogs. We use Dr Dominic Marino at LIVS in Plainview.
Kristina L. replied:
Mill plain vet...Dr. Jean quaintance is great... She sees all 3 of my EBs
Dawn S. replied:
I use Dr. Quantance at Mill Plain Vet as well. She also has her own bulldog.
Southern MA, northern RI folks, vet suggestions? Our local vet is all right, but they're expensive, and we'd like one who knows Bulldogs a bit better,
Jen B. replied:
I use Sutton Animal Hospital. Exit 5 off Rt 146. I like all 3 vets there, Dr Karen Ober is very, very good. Tufts Grad. Dr Golden is young but very nice and Dr O'leary is the newest and I really like her. one of the receptionists is kind of a bitch but
Pamela L. replied:
Kate Iannotti Pellegrini we use Dr Sefchuk at VCA N Main in Brockton. She has 5 bulldogs of her own!
Kate P. replied:
Thanks Pamela Laliberte-Lebeau! We took Brutus to the VCA in Everett and really liked them -- they were always reasonable and took good care of him. Leo has chronic ear infections in his right ear, which Brutus also had, but it's the difference of $60 at the VCA vs $200 every time we walk into Attleboro Vet.
Sue A. replied:

Does anyone have a good vet for bulldogs in north jersey? Ours is great with our other pets, but I don't think they are really bulldog specialists....
Laurette R. replied:
Richmond Valley Vet Practice Staten Island, they are the BEST. First Exit over the bridge from Jersey, worth it .
Bette K. replied:
Otherwise Dr. Laura Bucklan at Oradell Animal Hospital in Paramus
Amy N. replied:
Not sure how far north you are. More central is Dr. Westfield in Whitehouse Station, NJ. He was raised in a family that bred and raised bullies, so he has always been around these smooch-faces, and we love him!
This has me in tears! Can anyone recommend a bulldog vet for this poor gal in Balitmore, Maryland? This vet should be flogged!
