Dave attended The Northern institute of Massage qualifying as a Remedial Masseur in 1994. After running his own private clinic for three years, in 1997, he joined Middlesbrough Football Club, working with the Middlesbrough F. C. first team as Senior Masseur and Sports Therapist.
Dave is a qualified Sports Therapist and a member of their governing body, The Society of Sports therapists. He is also a Level 4 Sports Masseur with the Sports Massage Association and a weight Lifting Instructor with The British Weight Lifting Association. As part of his continuing professional development, he travelled to Thailand to study Thai Yoga massage, where he qualified as a Thai Masseur, at one of their official schools. More recently he qualified as an Acupuncture therapist specialising in acupuncture for pain using Traditional Chinese Medicine and also the western approach to acupuncture. Orthopaedic dry needling.
Through his involvement with top class sport, Dave has acquired a good knowledge of dealing with a great variety of sports injuries.
David now has several private clinics and his clinical practice has given him experience of dealing with the multitude of injuries and conditions affecting the full age spectrum of the general public.
In his capacity as a Sports Therapist and Sports Massage Therapist, Dave has worked with the following people and organisations:-
Middlesbrough Football Club. First Team Sports Therapist and Sports masseur
U.K. Athletics Olympic athletes: Colin Jackson, Chris Thomlinson, Allison Kirbishly and Anthony Borsumato.
