Any other Square Foot Gardeners in this group? For me, the hardest part was sourcing the five different types of compost. The usual suspects are generally easy -- composted cow manure, mushroom compost, etc. I thought I'd share a couple of unusual ones that I was able to find locally. LOBSTER COMPOST at St. Matthews Feed & Seed (Chenoweth Lane) and BUMPER CROP SOIL BUILDER at Grant Line Nursery in New Albany. Both are made by Coast of Maine. The Bumper Crop contains composted cow manure, sphagnum peat, aged bark, worm castings, lobster and crab shells, kelp meal, dehydrated poultry manure and both Endo & Ecto Mycorrhizae. http://www.coastofmaine.com/mn-bumpercrop.shtml . Thought this might be helpful to someone.
