  Last year I had dinner with some friends at the restaurant at the top of the Panorama Tower (http://www.panorama-leipzig.de). It's nice, but not overly pricey. I didn't make a note of any veggy dishes, but there is a menu on the site. It was a very nice place to have dinner and also there is roof access where you could see out across all of Leipzig. Might be something worth looking into for a nice birthday dinner.
