Relatively near the Panometer is Shams, where you can get Afghan food. If you're looking for Italian, I'd recommend L'angolo D'italia. For vietnamese Viet Cuisine. Gotta say though that I live in the Südvorstadt, so all these ideas are restaurants near me, that are regardless very good. P.S. for a quick and cheap meal try out divino, next to viet cuisine, he's got great Wraps.

Auf der Karl-Liebknecht-Str. kann ich dir das "Big Easy" und das "La Cosita" empfehlen. Preis-/Leistung ist bei beiden OK, das Personal ist sehr nett und das Essen verdammt lecker.
