  Shoes - the bane of our existence. If you live in the Maryland, District of Columbia area, do you know of a cobbler/a custom-shoe maker for a polio survivor? She buys the shoes and needs the soles redone with a wedge, etc. Any suggestions? Or, do you get your shoes from someone in another state via the mail. Would you recommend them? Thanks.

  Can she wear the wedge inside the shoe? My prosthetics magician made a mold of my foot, then had a custom insert done.
