  I always dive the Luis Ann http://www.loisann.com/ because they have onboard nitrox fills. The last time I did the Yukon, Ruby E and some random kelp bed. The Luis Ann site recommends The Dana Hotel, I've never stayed there but you can give it a try. Let me know your budget and I'll send you some recommendations. I done the drive hundreds of times, 440 miles from Monterey if You take the 101, I can't stand the 5 but it's faster. Did you think about a flight from San Jose, sometimes you can get them for $80, something to think about. Les Jackson

  

  I think the Lois Ann is a great charter. They have an awesome crew and the boat has plenty of room. As for the hotel, my opinion is the cheaper the better. I have stayed at the Dana Inn across the street from the boat, but the price is way over the top. Also I think the Dana Inn now requires a two night stay. But if you have the money to burn then the Dana is a great place since you can literally just walk across the street to the boat. I believe the web site is www.Loisann.com . Michael Perez
