  I need a 25 year old Superior Gas Vented Fireplace repaired. The issue is located within the mechanicals under the logs. The wiring could simply be hooked up wrong or the thermopile/thermocouple contraption could be the issue. It has a working wall switch. Gas flow is fine. Electric is fine up to the unit. I do not have the manual and cannot find one online. Any recommendations of anyone who has the knowledge to repair this specific obsolete unit in the Lorain county area? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

  Your fireplace is not obsolete. www.heatexchangeonline.com/ in north ridgeville should be able to tell you who to call if a local plumber or HVAC guy is not your choice but I would start locally, it is not a complex problem.
