  I'm not sure if this is allowed but I can't seem to find the information on my own. Does anyone know of a local adoption agency that does infant adoptions? I have looked online and in the phone book but all that's listed is services for pregnant women but no information for families looking to adopt. My husband and I would love to start our family by adopting a child but aren't sure where to start the process locally. If anyone has the name and number of an agency, I would greatly appreciate it. I'd also welcome any advice or tips you may have on how to get started, the process, etc. Thanks.

  The CALL is happy to help you start the process to adopt. It is very unlikely you would be able to adopt a child under 2 through DCFS but that is not to say it never happens. It is free to adopt through DCFS and the CALL walks you along the steps required by the state and provides support after a placement occurs. Good luck!
