  I got a free estimate from Victor's Lawns for him to build a concrete patio (sloped for drainage) and a small retaining wall with railroad ties. He can do it for $1500. I have no idea if this is a good price or not. Is there anyone else in town who does free estimates for things like this?

  I have also heard very good things about Antonio with Ecolutions. He is even improving a neglected bit of county property using his own time and money. He lives in Los Alamos. His company specializes in solid ecological landscaping- for example he will not kill your bees!! 505-577-4123
