  Looking for a bit of insight/help from the forum. Our house is prone to ice dams, and it’s been a chronic issue since we bought the house in 2013. The only way to prevent or eliminate them from forming is by having someone shovel the snow off our roof after a big storm. I live in a colonial, so it’s hard for me to get up there any do anything myself and using roof rake doesn’t work. I think it has something to do with our insulation, or lack thereof, because the biggest issue is above our upstairs bathroom; probably because the heat is rising when we take showers, etc. The question is, is there a contractor or company who specializes in this who can come by and take a look? We are ready to nip this in the bud for good. Thanks!
