Apparently the blood work is not covered under my insurance since it's not deemed "medically necessary" and so I will most likely have to pay for the pre op blood work out of pocket. My blood work is quite basic: Cbc, cmp, beta hcg, pt/ptt and the rona test. Besides the rona test, I am unsure where I can get this done. I have looked into quest diagnostics but I am totally in the dark on how much it'll cost me. Has anyone ever been in the same boat? Kinda freaking out a smidge.

  I use walkinlab.com to order the labs I need, take the order to Labcorp, have blood drawn and wait for the test results in my website account. You can even fax results to physician right from the site. The cost is cheaper than through my insurance.

  Try https://www.walkinlab.com/ They offer almost all tsh tests no insurance is required you can go to their website and directly order tests.It will be done in any labcorps or labs near you i have used couple of times i feel its kind of okay for short period . You can use this just to check ur levels for every 3-6 mo and then of required visit doc based on this test results

  I hope my mention of it didn't drive you nuts! You can absolutely bring up your concerns with your OBGYN. A progesterone blood test is pretty simple to do. If your OBGYN isn't willing, you can try to find another OBGYN (this is what I did, the second one ordered it no problem), or try ordering the test yourself (walkinlab.com has one, but whether you have a convenient lab nearby may vary). If you order yourself and end up with an issue you'll need a doctor to treat it.

  I've done an FET overseas, so slightly different, but principle the same. I went to an RE for the lining check ($180) and did some labs through walkinlab.com (price varies). For the next round, I have an OB who's willing to help and can try to put some things through insurance, so I'll use her instead. Obviously that's cheaper. REs should be familiar with remote cycling, and really all you need for an FET is ultrasound and maybe blood work, so it's not a big deal. I had no problems. Good luck!

  Not a physical place but possibly cheaper if you order the tests off www.walkinlab.com. I think there are other websites like it too and you can price shop that way. Also you could try calling Quest and Labcorp and see if they can help reduce any costs.
