Service dogs partnered with PTSD diagnosed veterans is a therapeutic option to help save and heal veterans. Suicides are prevalent, at a rate of at 22 veterans per day.
HEAL! aims to use the power of photography and interviews to boost awareness for issues facing PTSD-diagnosed Veterans as well as programs that are using service dogs to aid those who are suffering from PTSD.
Through the website and other social media, we are reaching out to veterans with service dogs to be part of the project and add to the repository of images and stories. As these powerful stories circulate, other veterans in need can learn about this path for their recovery, as well as learn about programs that are providing service dogs.
The mission is to help save and heal veterans; rescue and save canines' lives; and, call government to act on supporting service dogs for PTSD diagnosed veterans.
Does anyone have any suggestions about where to start to find a service dog for a disabled Veteran???
