We have gotten him groomed a few times already but the last time he had too much anxiety and bit the groomer. We were asked to take our dog and not come back. I found another groomer who is wonderful but she suggested that we ask our vet to prescribe him a sedative for the next time he needs to get groomed. Has anyone experienced this? I need suggestions. I don't want to medicate my dog every time he needs to get groomed. He is otherwise a very happy dog. TIA :-)Karen B. replied:You can do desensitizing training, probably best to hire a trainer to show you how. Your dog can learn to like being groomed. It takes time and some work but it can be done.
