To the Alumni Aviation:
Please help.
I am the parent of a current Auburn pilot-in-training and I am so exasperated by the non-certification by the FAA of the new chief pilot so Auburn can retain their Part 141! I have been in touch with the FAA in Birmingham, waiting for info back from Ed Blount. Please ask the alumni to put pressure on anyone who can help, this is a travesty for the current Auburn students that they have gone since May 2009 till now without the reinstatement of their 141 and certification of their new chief pilot. We have a kid caught (along with many other families) in the system here paying many extra dollars for training that would be less if this were in place. We are on the verge of moving to another school, we love Auburn, love the history here and do not want to do this, but we are being thrown into economic turmoil because the FAA is not moving. Please pass the word for any research/help here. This is not right. Auburn has a long and storied history of providing top caliber pilots and we are caught in the middle here. Please help by getting the word out and asking questions.
Lee has bee encouraging for us to post here, I hope this puts new light on a situation that needs to be fixed,
Thanks!
