Equine Choice Gen 2 is very similar to Succeed.

I think Total Equine is a complete feed, how much do you feed? Succeed is just an ounce or two.Succeed is meant to readjust the lining in the hind gut from ulcers. It is very different than just a balanced complete senior feed or even a probiotic supplement. So I don't think they are comparable. Thanks though. Marge Mabey.

Kathy Sherman I read that whole oats contain too much starch which could change the acidity of the gut you are working so hard to heal. Oat flour also has a bit more starch so Oat bran is supposed to be the best choice. Oat bran is easy to come by at Bob's Red Mill which is local to us, and nation wide by mail. You can also get fresh ground flax seed in bulk, kept cold at the store.

No useful advice from me, however, I look to Dr Kellon frequently for research and advice and diet balancing. This is a good article. I would recommend reading her articles and contacting her. She is a nutrition guru and is evidence based. This is a tricky disorder. This talks about EPSM, PSSM, EPSSM. Hiccups, or Thumps, is an automatic "Vet Out" at rides in Australia. Usually means a calcium deficiency of some kind.

Had it done at Creekside Veterinary in Valley Center. Yes I would do it again. I had this treatment done to Ana four years ago and she had 100% recovery. Oddly enough I had taken her there on my way to Tevis to have her checked. The ligament that was treated 4 years ago was perfect. But we found these other issues so I opted to treat her and forego Tevis.
